Application Process
As a general rule applications received from:
Businesses are likely to attract support no higher than 50% of total project cost;
Community projects are likely to attract support no higher than 70% of total project costs.
Applicants will need to demonstrate that:
Funding will make a contribution to the economic and social viability of the area;
Capital funding towards community facilities provides additional rural services and usage.
Applications will be assessed on:
- Alignment with the LAG’s Local Development Strategy, and Delivery Plan
- Need for public funding
- Established need; they do not directly compete or duplicate existing activities or businesses
- Economic impact
- Viability and sustainability of project once funding finishes
- They provide something that cannot be funded from another appropriate source
